A very small green, tree frog sitting on the back door step.

The frogs are particularly active, like most creatures at this time of the year. I often find them hiding in empty gardening pots or tucked away behind large pebbles in and around the garden. They're not always green of course, many are closer to a greyish almost translucent colour.
I think they're very cute and I know that if you have frogs on your property at least it's considered healthy and fertile.

Our first vegetable garden

The vegetable garden had to be enclosed due to the many native animals who visit our property.
Echidna's, wallabies, rabbits (not native of course) and possums, all create problems when it comes to growing food.
So the easiest solution was to add bird netting and wire.
Some of the really little birds can still get through the wire and I'm ok about that.

Here is a close up of our magnificent grapefruit tree. It produced around 100 grapefruit last year - 2009. They're huge and very juicy so popular with friends and neighbours.
