The Shoalhaven area is fortunate enough to have numerous beaches, however nothing compares to Seven Mile Beach.

When I first arrived in Berry I wasn't aware of how close the beach was to the town. It was only after I'd bought a property that I discovered just how close Berry is to the beach. Seven Mile Beach is accessible from Gerroa and Shoalhaven Heads, as many of the locals are aware. However, you can also gain access opposite Beach Rd, which is the continuation of Tannery Rd, on the outskirts of Berry.

After a very short walk (500 metres) through the national park, you'll find yourself  right in the middle of the beach which is a considerable distance to either the Gerroa or Shoalhaven Heads, entry.

The best part is that few people go to this section of the beach and it's perfect for a morning walk regardless of the time of year. Many of the residents in and around the area refer to Seven Mile Beach as their own private beach.
